About Me

Hi, I’m Amelie. I’m a compassionate and experienced Psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, youth worker and neurodiversity specialist. I am fully qualified and accredited with the NCPS, and I am currently studying a Master's in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice.

I hold a BA (Hons), Dip.PC, and I am a registered member of the NCPS and the National Hypnotherapy Society (MNCPS, MNHS). I support adults, parents, and carers who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or navigating emotional challenges and life changes, helping them build confidence, resilience, and lasting, positive change.

Alongside this, I have extensive experience working with children and young people through both therapeutic work and my background as a youth worker. I support young people with anxiety, emotional regulation, confidence, and navigating life’s challenges in a way that feels safe and accessible to them. I use creative, age-appropriate approaches, including play, visual tools, and gentle therapeutic techniques, to help children express themselves and feel understood.

I also work closely with parents of children with additional needs, offering practical strategies alongside emotional support, so you can feel more confident and supported in your parenting journey.

My approach is trauma-informed and client-centred. I aim to create a calm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and in control. Sessions are always tailored to you, your needs, your pace, and your goals, blending counselling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and coaching to support emotional regulation, wellbeing, and personal growth.

I have experience supporting neurodiverse clients, including those with Autism, ADHD, and other cognitive differences. I adapt my approach to be flexible and accessible, working in a way that fits you, your strengths, and how you experience the world.

My aim is simple: to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change in your life.

Accessible, low-cost support:

Sessions are £20 for those on benefits, and £25–£35 for those not, helping to keep support accessible and inclusive.

Counselling & Psychotherapy Support
You might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or trying to make sense of difficult emotions or experiences. Counselling and psychotherapy offer a space where you can slow things down, feel heard, and begin to understand what’s going on for you.

This support can help you to:
• Explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgemental space
• Make sense of past experiences and how they may be affecting you now
• Improve emotional awareness and regulation
• Build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience
• Develop healthier ways of coping and relating

Sessions are led by you, at your pace. I work in a trauma-informed, client-centred way, drawing on integrative approaches to support your individual needs. Together, we can gently explore what’s coming up for you and work towards meaningful, lasting change.

Accessible, low-cost support:
Sessions are £20 for those on benefits, and £30–£40 for those not, helping to keep therapy accessible and inclusive.

Support for Parents and Carers

Parenting children with additional needs can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be exhausting, overwhelming and isolating at times. I work with parents and carers to:

  • Understand and manage stress in a practical and manageable way

  • Build confidence and resilience to navigate daily challenges

  • Learn practical strategies for supporting your child’s needs effectively

  • Prioritise your own wellbeing while caring for others.

Accessible, low-cost sessions: Prices range from £5 to £15 per session, depending on your income and circumstances.
